Holiday Sales

Loomstate is one of my favorite eco fashion labels, so I'm always scanning the web for sales! I just found a few bargains on Yoox.com. They have both men's and women's Loomstate tees and jeans on sale. YEA!! Click on photo for link.

Seattle Green Festival

Hi, sorry I haven't posted anything for a few weeks.  We've been overwhelmed with lots of fancy green gear to test and review on Fancy Green, such as: Nau's women's Lilt V-Neck Tee, Nau's women'es Bi-Carious Shirt, Levi's men's 511 Skinny eco jean, a variety of packs and bags by ChicoBag, and more.....

Went to GreenFest yesterday...was sorry to notice that many of my friends from years past weren't there and that attendance was down due to the fabulous weather we were having, but the upside was--it was easy to move around the floor and I met some people who hadn't exhibited before (or whom I had missed at last year's event).  Talked to a really nice guy from Canvas Dreams, a sustainable web hosting company, and was happy to sample some yummy carrot juice and a vegan peanut butter cookie from Chaco Canyon Cafe!

Also sampled Viovi, a fresh-squeezed blood red orange juice from Italy.  LOVED it.  At first I thought it was tomato juice because it has the same color and opaqueness...but, wow, is it delicious.  So much richer than orange juice -- and it seemed less acidic but maybe that's because I just drank a shot-glass size amount.  Blood red oranges are filled with good things...which you can read about on the Viovi site.  There you'll also find recipes for all sorts of tasty treats, including some fun vodka and tequila drinks.  Nice.

A Fancy Green Day

When I think of it, I didn't get much accomplished today.  But I did look fantastic, and that kept me smiling all day!  I wore some soft and cozy wool socks from Fox Mills, my super hot Flux jeans by Loomstate, and the Loomstate men's tee I've been testing (see previous post).  Love the slate grey color and the contrast with the red birds in flight.

Oh, and, held up my pants with a belt by English Retreads - they make purses and belts and wallets out of old bicycle inner tubes. How lucky for me that the belt matched by outfit perfectly. Even Kamie, my fashionista friend and one of our eco fashion testers, thought I looked fab.

Also, received a gorgeous organic cotton tank from John Patrick that Kamie will be wear testing and reviewing on the main site soon.  Here's a little sneak peak.  My photography skills don't do it justice, but it's a sweet, well-designed, tunic-length long tank.  Wish they'd sent a large so I'd be wearing it!

Be Fancy.  Be Green.

Del Forte Denim

I don’t wear Del Forte jeans because Helen Mirren (The Queen) does, I wear them because they’re hot, hot, hot. And so soft, and super skinny, and all organic. But if you care...here’s what some of the celebs wear:

Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) likes the slim-cut Calla jean, Eva La Rue (CSI Miami) wears the Cassia patch pocket jean, and Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls) prefers the Dahlia jean. Other Del Forte fans include: Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Nikki Reed (O.C.), Tyra Banks, and Sharon Lawrence.

Read a review of the Calla low-rise jean here.

Loomstate Jeans

I’ve been wearing men’s Levi’s 501s for most of my life with no complaints, but I have to be honest...when I discovered Loomstate’s low-rise, super cool organic jeans, I was quick to join the denim renaissance.

Click here to read reviews of Loomstate’s Flux jeans, Genesis jeans, and Mantra jeans. Plus, women’s t-shirts. Loomstate also makes men’s jeans and t-shirts.
